To help you get started with the Built Skill app we have prepared these instructions for general signup and use.

Installing The App

There are three ways that you can install and use the Built Skill app

iOS Users

  1. Visit the Apple App Store on your device
  2. Search for Built Skill
  3. Click the GET button to begin installation
  4. Once installed you can proceed to signup.

Android Users

  1. Visit Google Play on your device
  2. Search for Built Skill
  3. Click the Install button to add to your device
  4. Once installed you can proceed to signup.

Web App

  1. Visit BuiltSkill.com on your web browser
  2. Signup for an account

Signing Up For An Account

Since BuiltSkill is a social networking site, you must create an account to participate in our community. The process is easy.

  1. Download one of our mobile apps or visit BuiltSkill.com
  2. Click the Create Your Profile button
  3. Enter your email address, a strong password, your chosen name and username, location, and type of membership.
  4. Click Create Account

Membership Types

There are a variety of membership types available to you when you create your profile. Contractor, Skilled Pro, Business Supplier, Industry Pro, and Homeowner are all examples.

Select the level of membership which most accurately reflects your role. Built Skill is open to all types of people, not only those in the construction industry–we all need help from a professional at some point.

Verifying Your Email

After you create your account you will receive an email with a verification link. Clicking this link activates your account and allows you to participate in our community. This is done to minimize abuse of the Built Skill service.

Troubleshooting Errors

If you do not receive the email verification within 24 hours then you may request a manual verification of your account by contacting us (see the bottom of this page).

From time to time certain pages may not be available, and you will see a 404 error. If this happens the best thing for you to do is wait. That page will most likely start working again within several minutes.

Make sure you are using the latest version of our mobile app. Open either the Apple App Store or Google Play, Search for Built Skill, and click the update button if there is a pending update.
